Sebastian Vettel<\/a> is one of a few drivers on the Formula 1 grid who don\u2019t have a manager \u2013 and he\u2019s not planning on changing this anytime soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outgoing Ferrari<\/a> driver has said he has no intention of getting a manager to help him stay on top of his off-track affairs, even as he mulls his future for 2021 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked by former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher on Sky if he felt now is a good time to start working with a manager, Vettel said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Maybe it helps here and there. [But] I think this is the path I have always taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Some people come and go. There are a lot of people who pat you on the back, and a few weeks later the same people are criticising you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have always been… I do not want to say alone as, of course, you have people around you who support you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continuing, he said, \u201cBut I think that more important than perhaps creating public opinion is that you know which people you can trust and with whom you can build upon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think I actually have a good and strong environment there, and I’m still in good spirits and quite clear in my head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have never been so dependent on what might be the external perception, what people think and what people say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank God I have never been so dependent on that. I don’t follow everything that’s written or said.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sebastian Vettel\u2019s media affairs are handled by PR manager Britta Roeske, and he sometimes consults with friends and advisors when considering an important career move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four-time World Champion has been linked with a move to Racing Point in 2021, with reports suggesting he will sign a $15 million contract<\/a> with them at the Belgian GP this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has also been offered an opportunity to compete in the World Endurance Championship<\/a> (WEC) with Glickenhaus Racing<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
