Helmut Marko<\/a>, head of Red Bull\u2019s driver development program, has suggested that the team is open to Daniel Ricciardo returning to the Milton Keynes-based constructor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ways back can always be found, but the circumstances have to be right,” Marko said, commenting on the prospect of a Ricciardo-Red Bull reunion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also accepted that a Verstappen-Ricciardo driver line-up would mean both of their drivers are of equal talent, unlike the current pairing of Alex Albon and Max Verstappen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are second with Albon in the World Championship. With Ricciardo that would have been exactly the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat is true is that we would have had two drivers with equal skills. And it’s also more fun with Ricciardo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, the Australian driver said in an interview with Formula1.com<\/a> that he wouldn\u2019t rule out a return to the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ricciardo left Red Bull<\/a> for Renault at the end of the 2018 Formula 1 season. He will leave the French works team at the end of this year to partner Lando Norris at Mclaren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this week, amid speculation that Albon could lose his drive at Red Bull, Marko said Alex Albon\u2019s seat would be safe<\/a> so long as he keeps developing as a driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also admitted that he \u201clooked stupid\u201d at the Spanish Grand Prix<\/a>, but blamed this on his race engineer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
