I hope not,\u201d he said, when it was pointed out that Lance Stroll is unlikely to make way for Vettel, as his father, Lawrence Stroll, heads up the consortium of investors which owns the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;At the moment everything is looking as if we&#8217;re going to carry on with the team. So we&#8217;ll see,\u201d Perez added. &#8220;The feedback I&#8217;ve got from the team is we are going to carry on.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continuing, he said he believes it\u2019s just a matter of time before the rumours linking Vettel to Racing Point go away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/formula1news.co.uk\/red-bull-replace-albon-vettel\/\"><span style=\"color:#ffac00\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Should Red Bull Replace Albon With Vettel?<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, reports from Italy suggested that Vettel is <a href=\"https:\/\/formula1news.co.uk\/vettel-sign-racing-point-contract-belgian-gp\/\"><span style=\"color:#ffac00\" class=\"has-inline-color\">poised to sign a $15 million contract with Racing Point<\/span><\/a> at the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perez is currently eighth in the Formula One driver standings, with eight points fewer than his younger teammate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mexican missed both race weekends at Silverstone this season after he tested positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Enjoyed reading this article?
