“No, I don\u2019t think he is [being treated fairly],” Brundle said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think he\u2019s been hung out to dry a little bit, he\u2019s done a brilliant job of leading the Mercedes team, he\u2019s picked up the mantle from Lewis Hamilton very well.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It must be super uncomfortable for him and a bit embarrassing that he\u2019s sitting there waiting.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brundle acknowledged Verstappen\u2019s superior speed but noted the challenges he brings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It\u2019s a very difficult situation and that\u2019s the crucible of Formula 1, it\u2019s a shark pool out there.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
