Carlos Sainz has taken to social media to thank his personal trainer, who has left him following an eight-year working relationship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ferrari driver received support from Rupert Manwaring from when the Spaniard entered the Formula 1 paddock in 2015, as a Toro Rosso \u2013 now known as AlphaTauri \u2013 driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manwaring remained with Sainz when he switched to Renault, McLaren and most recently to Ferrari, although it’s now the personal trainer who is on the move. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the 2024 season, Manwaring will be working with three-time World Champion Max Verstappen, after the Red Bull driver parted ways with Bradley Scanes at the end of 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manwaring works for performance coaching company Hintsa Performance, who were launched by Dr Aki Hintsa, who sadly died in 2016 whilst battling cancer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hintsa most notably worked with seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, and two-time World Champion Mika Hakkinen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On social media, Sainz admitted that his time with Manwaring “cannot be summed up in one video”, with a beautiful message being more appropriate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Eight years cannot be summed up in one video, but here is a hint of what it has meant to me,” wrote Sainz on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“2023 was Rupert’s last year serving Team 55 and I wouldn’t know how to thank you for all your work and support during those years. Not only did we train together and fight for the same goals, but we also had a lot of fun. I wish you all the best, Ruperto!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working with Manwaring clearly meant a lot to Sainz, with their relationship seemingly having been equally as important to the personal trainer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wrote his own message to Sainz on social media and thanked him for their “friendship” and how much he learnt from the 29-year-old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
