Browse the latest F1 job vacancies<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three more incidents were investigated on Saturday after the sprint shootout, one of which involved sprint pole sitter Lando Norris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Norris and Yuki Tsunoda were both investigated for exceeding the maximum lap-time, a new rule which was recently introduced by race director Niels Wittich. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both drivers were deemed to have exceeded the maximum lap-time and were reprimanded as a result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ocon was also investigated again on Saturday alongside Fernando Alonso, following the pair&#8217;s collision in the closing seconds of SQ1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their clash was ultimately judged as a racing incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also confirmed during the Brazilian GP that Haas have lodged a request for the results of the United States Grand Prix to be double-checked by the FIA, as it appears track limits weren&#8217;t correctly marshalled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the sport introducing an increasing number of rules and directives, it&#8217;s becoming incredibly rare for the results of a competitive session to be known when the chequered flag is flown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More often than anyone would like, the results aren&#8217;t usually confirmed until several hours after a session has ended, following various investigations by the stewards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Lance <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Stroll?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Stroll<\/a> admits car \u2018felt like crap\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rSr7pifMCy\">https:\/\/t.co\/rSr7pifMCy<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Formula1News.co.uk (@Formula1newsUK) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Formula1newsUK\/status\/1720886435530653988?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 4, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/formula1news.co.uk\/lando-norris-criticises-fias-stupid-rule\/\">Lando Norris criticises FIA\u2019s \u2018stupid rule\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marko is tired of seeing this and believes decisions need to made during the session, with the sport needing to prioritise the &#8220;racing&#8221; rather than post-session investigations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s an old saying: &#8216;Let them race&#8217;\u2026 I really think we need to get rid of all these investigations and trips to the stewards,&#8221; Marko told Sky Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s just use common sense in these situations.
