Browse the latest F1 job vacancies<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was confirmed at the recent Japanese Grand Prix that Tsunoda would enter a fourth campaign with the Faenza-based side, having shown enough improvement in 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A big question though, is what&#8217;s next for Tsunoda beyond AlphaTauri?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With Daniel Ricciardo being back in the Red Bull family and having done well since replacing Nyck de Vries at the sister team, it&#8217;s widely believed that the Australian will be chosen to replace Sergio Perez in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, it&#8217;s then expected that Liam Lawson will take Ricciardo&#8217;s spot at AlphaTauri. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Red Bull reserve driver is even potentially an option for a seat at the Milton Keynes-based team, having done so well since filling in for the injured fan favourite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It leaves Tsunoda with very few options to progress in the Red Bull family, a position Pierre Gasly recently found himself in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Gasly returned to the sister team after being dropped by Red Bull, he failed to ever return to the main fold, despite some terrific performances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Lewis Hamilton takes to social media to reverse controversial stance <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Bjr7eKGZVI\">https:\/\/t.co\/Bjr7eKGZVI<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Formula1News.co.uk (@Formula1newsUK) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Formula1newsUK\/status\/1710640863661977725?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 7, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/formula1news.co.uk\/breaking-lewis-hamilton-and-george-russell-under-investigation\/\">Breaking: Lewis Hamilton and George Russell under post-race investigation<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultimately, Gasly decided to leave the energy drink company and join Alpine, to help his career blossom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With Tsunoda looking unlikely to ever be offered a seat at Red Bull, a move to Aston Martin in either 2025 or 2026 would give him a chance to progress, although the Silverstone-based team will need to speak to the Austrians first of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTsunoda is under contract with us.
