Browse the latest F1 job vacancies<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carlin commented on Yuki: \u201cUnfortunately, his improvement in pace has coincided with the deterioration of the speed of AlphaTauri so he\u2019s got better as the car\u2019s got worse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carlin believes that Yuki is being underserved by AlphaTauri and would thrive in the Red Bull team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He believes Tsunoda\u2019s personality is a reason he would be a great fit, saying: \u201cYuki is the kind of guy that would relish the opportunity and he\u2019d be fully committed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGod knows what would happen but he\u2019d be entertaining, go flat out and he might surprise a few people. I\u2019d love to see Yuki do it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AlphaTauri team principal Franz Tost agrees with Carlin\u2019s assessment of Yuki, saying that the Japanese driver could be ready for a promotion soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tost also envisions Yuki taking over the reins from Perez and becoming Verstappen\u2019s teammate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tost agrees with Carlin\u2019s criticism of AlphaTauri and the competitiveness of their cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talking about Yuki, the AlphaTauri boss says: \u201cI am very happy with him. It\u2019s not his fault that we aren\u2019t competitive yet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs far as I know, Sergio Perez still has a contract for next year. All I can say is that Yuki is on the right track. He has improved in every respect.
