The position was already lost from him and I was really quite surprised he was still trying to hold it on the outside,\u201d Russell told the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEver since we\u2019re eight years old in go karting, if you\u2019re on the inside at the apex, it\u2019s your corner and if you try and hold it on the outside, you\u2019re taking the risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m here to fight. I\u2019m here to win. I\u2019m not just going to wave him by because he\u2019s Max Verstappen in a Red Bull,\u201d Russell continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Verstappen, on the other hand, was not willing to accept Russell\u2019s explanation for the incident, continuing his criticism of the Mercedes driver when he spoke to the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;[Defending] is not allowed because \u2018Princess George\u2019 is there? At the end of the day, that&#8217;s his problem too,\u201d Verstappen stated.x<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Everyone has their own opinion.
